ذہین شاہ تاجی

Baba Zaheen Shah Yousufi Taji (1902-1978), originally known as Muhammad Tuaseen, was a prominent Sufi, Urdu poet, philosopher, and scholar from Karachi Pakistan. He was a disciple of Baba Yousuf Shah Taji, who, in turn, was a disciple of Tajuddin Baba of Nagpur. Baba Zaheen Shah Yousufi Taji was renowned for his literary prowess and authored numerous books and Ghazals in Urdu, alongside his proficiency in Persian, Arabic, English, and Hindi. He used the pen name “Zaheen” in his poetry. Among his significant contributions, he translated essential works of Ibn Arabi and Al-Hallaj into Urdu. He attracted notable scholars and poets to his gatherings and left a lasting impact on the Urdu poetry circles with his celebrated works, including “Āyāt-i Jamāl” and “Lam Aat-e-Jamal.” Additionally, he authored “Tajul Auliya,” a biography of his grand pir-o-murshid Hazarat Baba Tajuddin Auliya Nagpuri.
