Mohammad Riaz Qadri, the translator, writes in the introduction:

“After the year 1990, in my studies as a seeker, I came across the book Fusoos al-Hikam, from which I gained a lot. The philosophy of theology, intricate issues of Sufism, and the secrets of Tawheed (Oneness of God) unfolded before me.

At that very moment, when I was in the presence of the Sheikh, sensing our internal state, he said: ‘If you want to study Sufism, then read Ibn Arabi.’ On this occasion, I also studied the biographies and commentaries of Sheikh Mubarak Ali, Hazrat Baba Zehin Shah Taj, Abdul Qadeer Sadiqi, Ata Muhammad Sufi, and Barkat Ali. At the same time, I made a commitment that if divine providence continues to accompany me, I will present an easy and accessible translation of the book Fusoos al-Hikam, so that all its knowledge, insights, and intricate matters become apparent to the readers.
